Digital Business Card App

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the Digital Business Card app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the App.


2. Description of Service

The Digital Business Card app is a Wix Block widget that enables website owners to generate downloadable Apple Wallet cards from dynamic item pages. The App integrates with your Wix website's CMS database to create custom wallet passes for your website visitors.


3. License and Usage Rights


3.1 What You Can Do

    • Install the App on your Wix website's dynamic item pages
    • Configure the App to display information from your CMS database
    • Generate unlimited Apple Wallet cards for your website visitors
    • Customize field labels and content within the App's configuration options


3.2 What You Cannot Do

      • Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App
      • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
      • Use the App for illegal purposes or to distribute malicious content
      • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices


4. Apple Wallet Badge Guidelines

This App utilizes the "Add to Apple Wallet" badge provided by Apple Inc. You agree to comply with Apple's guidelines when using this App. For complete guidelines, refer to Apple's official documentation: https://developer.apple.com/wallet/add-to-apple-wallet-guidelines/


4.1 Proper Use of Apple Wallet Badge

      • The badge is provided by Apple and must not be modified, recreated, or altered in any way
      • The badge should appear only in association with valid Apple Wallet-compatible passes generated by this App
      • The badge must be displayed on white or light-colored backgrounds that provide sufficient contrast
      • The badge must not be obstructed by text, graphics, images, or other elements
      • The badge must not be flipped, rotated, animated, or have visual effects added (such as shadows, glows, or reflections)


4.2 Prohibited Actions

    • Do not create your own version of the Add to Apple Wallet badge
    • Do not use the badge in a manner that falsely suggests association with Apple
    • Do not let the badge dominate your layout as the primary message
    • Do not use the Wallet icon alone without the full badge
    • Do not display a dimmed version of the badge


4.3 Trademark Requirements

When referencing Apple Wallet in your content:

      • Use "Wallet" or "Apple Wallet" with proper capitalization
      • For U.S. communications, use the registered trademark symbol (®) the first time Apple appears in body copy
      • Include the following credit line in legal information: "Apple, Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPod touch are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries."


5. User Instructions Per Apple Guidelines


5.1 Adding Passes to Wallet

To add a pass to Apple Wallet, users must open the page on their iPhone, iPod touch, or Mac. If viewing on another device, instruct users: "To add this card to Wallet, open this page on your iPhone or iPod touch."


5.2 Wallet Description

The Wallet app on Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPod touch is where you store and access all your passes, tickets, and cards.


6. Data and Privacy


6.1 Data Collection

The App accesses data from your Wix CMS database to generate wallet passes. No personal data is stored by the App beyond what is temporarily needed to generate the wallet pass.


6.2 Your Responsibilities

      • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and distribute any content (text, images, logos) included in the wallet passes
      • You must comply with all applicable privacy laws and regulations
      • You are responsible for obtaining necessary consents from your website visitors


7. Pricing and Subscriptions


7.1 Free Tier

      • Three customizable fields
      • Unlimited installs and card downloads
      • Standard white overlay design
      • "Powered by Digital Business Card" branding


7.2 Pro Tier

      • All Free tier features
      • Custom logo support
      • Back of card notes
      • Card sharing controls
      • Removal of "Powered by" branding


7.3 Billing

      • Pro subscriptions are billed through the Wix App Market
      • Pricing is subject to change with notice
      • Cancellations follow Wix App Market policies


8. Technical Requirements


8.1 Installation Requirements

      • The App must be installed on dynamic item pages connected to a CMS database
      • Your collection must have at least one Page Link field and three text fields
      • Pages using the App must NOT be set to "Members Only" or visitors will not see the preview


8.2 Compatibility

      • The App works on desktop and mobile browsers
      • Generated wallet passes are compatible with Apple Wallet on iOS devices


9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The App relies on third-party services (Wix platform, signing servers) which may experience downtime.


10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

    • The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
    • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
    • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months


11. Intellectual Property


11.1 Our Rights

      • The App, its code, design, and functionality are owned by CodeQueen / Digital Business Card
      • Apple Wallet badges and related trademarks are owned by Apple Inc.


11.2 Your Content

    • You retain ownership of all content you input into the App
    • You grant us a license to process and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the App


12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms & Conditions or misuse the App.


13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.


14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles.


15. Apple Legal Requirements

This App and its use of Apple Wallet functionality cannot be used in any manner that:

    • Falsely suggests an association with Apple
    • Is likely to reduce, diminish, or damage the goodwill, value, or reputation associated with any Apple product or Apple itself
